With less than 48hrs to the next iPhone announcement, I thought I’d weigh in on the iPhone 5 teardrop prediction with some first-hand experience.
I have a TV remote that’s roughly teardrop shaped and every single time without fail I hold it upside-down.
In this blogger’s opinion, there will be no teardrop iPhone.

The teardrop design looked cool on my opinion and I’d like for it to exist. As for the point you make, the teardrop wouldn’t be as pronounced as the one in a clunky Shaw Cable remote.
But actually, many times I grab the remote in the dark and having that teardrop actually helps quickly noticing.
Where the teardrop would get in the way is when you’re handling the phone in landscape mode because the difference in thickness. Again, it will depend on how pronounced the slant is.
In any case, we’ll know tomorrow if it exists or not. Too bad that if it doesn’t exist we won’t know if it ever did or not 😛
