Tumblr just added a feature to redirect http://yourdomain.com/+ to your google plus account.
Neat idea.
You can do it yourself in .htaccess. Just add:
Redirect 301 /+ {insert your profile url here}

Any idea if it’s possible to redirect from a google sites page? I’d rather not host my own server just to run an .htaccess redirect.
Does google sites allow php or other scripting languages?
