According to the current iPhone and Smartphone data pages on the Rogers website, only data plans with 1GB of data or more will have the ability to tether, and tethering will be free for new plans from June 8th to the end of 2009. Tethering has always been allowed on Rogers' Network, and it is unknown at this point if people who signed their contracts before June 8th, 2009 will be exempt from charges, or if they will force you into a new contract to enable tethering on the iPhone.
